Toronto vocalist/ songwriter/ lyricist Donna Greenberg presents Song in the Wind, her second album of originals and the Canadian singer’s third album since 2009. In collaboration with pianist/producer Jordan Klapman and an ensemble of some of Canada’s finest musicians including Ross MacIntyre, bass, Glenn Anderson, drum kit, percussion, Joaquin Hidalgo, Latin percussion, Kevin Laliberte, nylon string guitar, Tony Quarringto, nylon string guitar, guitar, Tom Skublics, tenor sax, baritone sax, clarinet, flute, Drew Jurecka, violin, viola, clarinet, Rob Somerville, trombone & American Jon Seiger, trumpet.
Song in the Wind is passionate, soulful, romantic – Greenberg’s newest songs of life, love, joy and sorrow. Donna offers her listeners maturity and depth with lyrics that speak to anyone and everyone. The songs are definitely eclectic: jazz, Latin, swing, ballads, and romantic duets (featuring Canadian singer Warren James in “Garden at Midnight” and Brazilian singer, Marcelo Neves in the title track, “Song in the Wind”). The lyrics are multilingual with texts in Spanish, French, Brazilian, Portuguese, Italian, as well as English.
